Hey, I’m Edwin Perez, an actor based in New York City. I’m an extremely passionate and hardworking performer, raised in the vibrant city of Orlando, Florida, in a proud Puerto Rican family.
Since stepping into the world of professional theater, I’ve had the opportunity to perform in various shows that have shaped my craft. One of the most impactful experiences for me was in a production of Pippin at the Garden Theatre where the titular character was portrayed by a deaf actor, and I played the shadow actor for Pippin's role, providing the singing voice and speaking lines. That experience had a profound impact on me, as it highlighted the power of collaboration and representation in theater.
In addition to these impactful roles, my journey has taken me across the country on various national tours. Traveling from city to city, I’ve not only honed my skills on stage, but I’ve also taken immense pride in bringing theater to thousands of children and families across the country.
Knowing the importance of teamwork, I value the beauty of collaboration and making sure that interactions, both on and off-stage, add to a positive and inclusive environment. I also recognize the importance of communication.
